It depends on how much you want to spend.
I would one day like to buy The Mother Of All Book Tests (MOABT). but at a price tag between 3-4 hundred dollars it's not high on my priority list for now.
For the $60 range the Dracular is good as is the Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes.
For my Wallet I use Outlaw's PSI card. It requires some memory work but for a little card in the wallet works great like a book test in ways.
The card is more for closeup.

Ask someone who has a variety of booktests, not the opinions of those who think they know the "in's and out's" of the workings/presentations...and, what do yu want to do with it? More mental magic?

I'm no expert, but I have performed a book test. I simply don't see why some performers feel the need to buy expensive book tests.
Here's the effect:
1. Spectator selects random bit of text.
2. Performer reveals the text in an interesting and entertaining way.
What's the big deal? There are many inexpensive and effective booktests in Anneman and Tarbell. (7 in Tarbell, according to my index)
Now what in the world do any of these modern variants give TO YOUR SPECTATOR that the old one's don't?
Maybe I'm wrong. But I lay down the gauntlet.
